Turbo!

Last week we took Lexi to the movies for the first time since she turned one! I you remember, on her first birthday we took her to see the Muppets. Last night we wanted to see Monsters University but apparently it went outta theaters on Tuesday! What a bummer! So instead we went to see Turbo. It was so cute! We all really enjoyed it and Lexi is officially obsessed with 'Turbo' and 'go fast like Turbo!'. It's pretty adorable.
How she did? It was interesting! She did pretty well for a two and a half year old but I don't know that I will be taking her back anytime soon. It really stressed me out bc I couldn't get her to stay still or calm down. Just a toddler, I know! She went potty three times in the matter of one hour and thirty six minutes. Does anyone else notice when you are out (shopping, dinner, movies, church, etc) the kids have to potty every 3.4 seconds? Yeah, that was us! Ha. She got popcorn, to choose a candy, and to share coke with us- so food wise? She was in heaven. The candy kept her pretty occupied for a good bit of the time. Until it was gone.. Overall, she did good and had a blast! That's all that matters :)

Southern Gentleman Sprinkle!

This past weekend my MIL, Aunt Gigi and Abram's nanny hosted us a little sprinkle! It was a lot of fun and we got so blessed. We didn't take too many pictures during the sprinkle but I took a ton of the decorations. (My MIL made the wreath- how cute is it?!)
I love party planning! It's definitely my thing. I feel like it is all in the details and I love making sure those details are carried out. Since we were doing a Southern Gentleman theme we had to have mason jars and tea- because nothing says southern like mason jars and a glass of sweet tea. The mason jars were my favorite. I saw an idea of them on Pinterest and ran with it! Most of my ideas were from Pinterest :) we had a photo booth and props. We did that for Lexi's 2nd birthday and now I feel like it is a must at every party! It was so much fun and leads to some amazing and hilarious pictures.

Long time no chat!

Blogging has taken a backseat lately. Honestly, I haven't had the motivation or energy to blog. Our lives are crazy town right now but this too shall end. So much has changed in the last 4-6 weeks that I don't even know where to begin!
For starters, we moved. Yep, you read that right. Looking back I see it was all in God's plan but boy has it been stressful! Toddler, pregnant, moving in with family, no plan? Yeah. Crazy! But everything is coming together perfectly.
Lexi is doing amazing! She amazes me on the daily by her vocabulary and understanding of life. She is very excited about 'baby brother'. Yeah, she refuses to call him Abram and calls him 'baby brother' every single time. It's pretty adorable.
Abram is doing great as well! He is still baking and most definitely growing. He has a little issue the drs are keeping an eye on, but they're assuming me that it is completely normal and we need to monitor it. It could be nothing. We shall see. But it is in God's hands and I have a peace about it.
Hubsy is doing good as well! He started a new job and is going to school for another career he is pursuing. More on this at a later date bc it's pretty quiet right now.
Overall, we are all doing great! Staying busy and trying to soak up our last few months as a family of 3! My sprinkle is this weekend for Abey Baby and I can't wait! But that's all that has been going on around here!

And Vincent #2, Baby Roo is a....

BOY!!!!!! Abram Ryan
Friday afternoon we went for an elective ultrasound to find out the sex of Roo! When we got in the room the first thing the tech said was 'holy cow! This baby is a mover!' He just kept spinning and turning and rolling. It was adorable. Shortly after that, she put her wand on his parts and immediately I saw what she saw- boy parts! I said 'that's a boy, isn't it?!' She confirmed and then I let out a small scream!! She started taking pics of him for us and we just talked. She said he was big for 16 weeks, which wasn't all that surprising to me bc I still think Helman is wrong about my due date. Then she put the  3d/4d on and we got to see him. We never had a 3d/4d ultrasound with Lexi, so I was amazed! It was so neat! He smiled at us immediately  and at that moment I felt so in love! Lexi said 'he my baby brudda!!' It was the cutest thing ever ! We had our reveal this weekend and spilled the beans. Let the shopping begin :)

14 weeks: Baby Roo

Today I am 14 weeks pregnant! Officially in the second trimester. I just wanted to jot a few things down for my memory because I find myself trying to remember my pregnancy with Lexi quite a bit. So here we go :)

Weight gain: Can we just skip this part? I'm up 4 lbs, but I lost 1.2 lbs since last week. Eek! I'm not sure what it is with this baby but I'm having a very hard time gaining weight. My mission this week is to pack on some weight!
Sleep: has been great! That first trimester was awful in the sleep department! I was always tired but couldn't sleep at night. Boo! But now? Out around 10ish every night. Wake once with Lexi and back to bed til 7-8. I also take a 2 hr nap with Lexi everyday.
Movement: I *think* I have felt it a few Times but I was probably just thinking I did! This baby feels very low to me. I don't remember Lexi feeling this low. I guess this is normal? Not going to lie, it makes me nervous quite frequently.
Gender: we don't know yet but hope to find out ASAP! I have my thoughts and did all the wives tales, but that's a post in itself.
Random: honestly, I have really been enjoying this pregnancy! Embracing it and feeling very thankful to be pregnant. So excited to have a second baby and find out if Roo is a girl or boy! I have had a little health issue that we are trying to see how serious or minor it is. Testing is coming up and I'm nervous. Ultimately, I know it is in God's hands though! Trying to stay busy and soak up the one kid time we have left! Here are three pics- one was 13 weeks 3 days, the other, 13 weeks 6 days, and 14 weeks exactly.

To the Strawberry Patch we go!

When I was growing up I'm sure we made plenty of memories. For some reason, I don't remember many. One thing that I remember very vividly was strawberry picking! We always used to go with my aunt, grandma, mom and sister. Sometimes, just my sister, my mom and myself! Every time we went we had so much fun. Of course, as kids we definitely consumed more than we collected and saved. And our attention span was that of a fly, but there was always fun to be had! Since Lexi is two now I knew it was time to take her strawberry picking, to make memories we won't forget for a long time. We started the day out late. Lexi had this new teenager sleepy stage where she wants to sleep until 9:00-9:30. Which is cool by me but it makes our days less productive. And let's be honest, on a good day they aren't productive at all. Lets blame pregnancy on that one. (Hello, 8 weeks!) So while Lexi was still sleeping this morning, I got up and got dressed, did my makeup, straightened my hair, packed our bags, and chose her an outfit for the day. Finally, she woke up around 9:15! So I got her dressed and we headed out. Ryan forgot his wallet at home so we had to go out the opposite way to bring it to him and then head towards the strawberry patch. After seeing Ryan Lexi was really heartbroken that he couldn't come with us.
Once we got there I got her wagon and sun shade all ready to go and off we went! We got the little green containers to put or strawberries in and she did great! At first She was grabbing them all- green, rotten, half eaten, etc until she really caught on. Then she was an old pro. She was picking better strawberries than me! She looked over after filling our 3 out of 6 containers and it was downhill from there. She saw the toys and wanted to 'pay' so after convincing her to pick a few more we went to play. Wow, that was an experience! Today was opening day so it was really packed and there were a few school field trips there too so tons of kids everywhere! We checked out the animals, the swings, the bouncy guys, she rode a fake cow and pig, and just ran around. She got testy at some points bc there was a lot of big kid things- a slide that went way to fast for her, zip lining, and this huge inflatable in the ground. She was so heartbroken that she couldn't do any of those things but with me being so newly pregnant I was too scared to chance it. We walked around some more and then she jumped in the wagon and was ready to go. It was getting really Hott at this point, so I was fine with it! We left with a flat of strawberries, two chocolate covered strawberries, a coloring book, and some really great memories! It was a day that I will not soon forget. On the way home we stopped for strawberry slushed at Sonic to finish off our day. Tomorrow we are heading to the zoo and then New Orleans for our super busy week next week! Praise God for everything he has blessed me with in this life. I'm feeling so blessed and grateful!

Baby V #2 update!

Tuesday I had my first ultrasound and the fun million questions and million tests dr appointment! We had a great appointment with Dr H. He is AMAZING and I love him! He had a few concerns that we discussed and then I told him some issues I have been having. Before we went in for my ultrasound, he says 'All these issues you are saying, are starting to make me think it is twins!' Ummmm, yeah insert a little unexpected twist here! Wow! I had a weird twin feeling from the beginning, so I was nervous. We got into the ultrasound room and he pulls up the baby! I said 'there is only one!' He says 'you're too smart for your own good, I couldn't even mess with you!' Haha. Babies heartbeat was 118 Bpm. Roo was only measuring 6 weeks 4 days, instead of 7 weeks 3 days like we originally thought, so he changed my due date. I am now due Oct 25, although I really think he may be wrong. But either way it's only 6 days different. We did get some unexpected and scary news- I have a heart murmur. Apparently, they are pretty common in pregnancy. I have been having chest pain so that is why I was so scared. He immediately sent me straight to hospital next door to get an EKG some. Friday we got the results back and Praise God they were normal! I still have a heart murmur and I have to see a cardiologist but we are believing for a positive report. Also found out I am hypoglycemic, which I think is honestly just pregnancy in general. I will start posting my weekly pregnant updates Friday!
